Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-21

These terms govern your use of the TailSnap browser extension and the services behind it. TailSnap is operated by Mykhailo Zakharchuk, st. Vasylia Ivanysa, bldg 2, Kyiv, 02156, Ukraine ("we", "us"). By installing or using TailSnap you agree to them.

1. What TailSnap is

TailSnap reads the styles a web page already exposes to any browser — the same information the browser's own developer tools display — and converts them into source code such as React and Tailwind CSS. It is an inspection and code-generation tool for developers.

2. Acceptable use, and the part that matters most

TailSnap shows you how a layout is built. It does not give you any rights to the design, brand, images, text or trademarks of the sites you inspect. Those belong to their owners, and copyright and trademark law applies to them exactly as it did before you installed anything.

You agree that you will not use TailSnap to:

Use it the way it is meant to be used: to understand a technique and rebuild it in your own work. You are responsible for what you do with the code it produces, and you accept that responsibility when you use the tool.

3. Your account and licence

The free tier needs no account. A Pro licence is granted to one person and may be active on up to three devices at a time; you can free a seat at any time from the extension's settings. Do not share, resell or publish your licence key.

Your licence works offline for up to seven days between checks, so a lost connection will not interrupt your work.

4. Payment, renewal and cancellation

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record and the seller of record for every order. Paddle's own terms and privacy notice apply to the transaction, and Paddle handles all applicable sales tax and VAT.

Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.

5. What we do not promise

TailSnap generates code from what a page reports at the moment you capture it. Browsers, frameworks and websites change. We do not warrant that generated code will be a pixel-perfect reproduction, that it will compile unmodified in your project, or that every style will be captured — pages rendered to <canvas>, for instance, expose nothing to read. Always review generated code before shipping it.

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the law where you live.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to TailSnap is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data.

7. Suspension

We may suspend or terminate a licence that is being shared, resold, or used in clear breach of section 2. Where we do that without cause, we refund the unused part of the period.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the extension's release notes, and the date above will change. Continuing to use TailSnap after that means you accept the revised terms.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Questions go to pankanarxis98@gmail.com.

Before you publish this

This is a working draft written around what the product actually does — not legal advice. Fill in the placeholders and have a lawyer in your jurisdiction review it before you take payments.
